A Shopping Bag for Mark

Hello Mark.  Are you out there?

Your personalized tote bag is finished.  Trademark double button and key fob, too.

Be Sure to Check Out
Mark's wonderful blogsite at http://www.allthingsruffnerian.blogspot.com/
He writes about the most amazing things!

Mark,  I hope you like the tote bag.  If you don't, then you have an item for your church fundraiser.

Its a really soft gray micro seude fabric.  I didn't fuss with the details of hair and glasses, but at least you have your trademark mustache.

On the inside is a surprise.

Can you see it?

Will you send me your address so I can mail it this week?

Best Wishes.

  1. A well-deserved tribute to one of my favorite bloggers, whose articles never fail to fascinate and entertain. I am greatly impressed with your creativity--I don't know how you find time for a project like this while restoring a house.

  2. I agree Parnassus. Our mutual friend Mark from All Things Ruffnerian has a beautiful mind, and generously takes time to entertain and educate. I'm so glad I found his website, and look forward to each new article he creates.

My husband and I are very busy people. While we understand the difference between work and play, somehow we manage to blend the two.

Husband Jon--10 yrs. my junior, works 12 hr. days--6 days a week, (he leaves by 4:30a for work). Jon "rests" on Sunday doing restoration projects on the house.

We get up at 4:00a every day. I do know other crazy people like us who get up early too.

Me, I'm retired, and I really like to sew. But--this year I have been busy with research work on a reality TV show since March. I cannot talk about the details right now, but will spill the beans later.

Preparation for the show and research makes 10 hour workdays for me, 6 days a week. We have a small film crew--a dozen people.

I take breaks from the research work here and there to do laundry, shopping, cleaning, and work on the current stairwell wall repair.

The simplest task and most rewarding is to sit down to dinner with Jon every evening. Tonight we're having Italian beef over egg noodles, and a side of steamed vegetables.

Occasionally I bake a mixed berry or apple pie. And if I really have lots of time I make lemon mirangue.

Excuse my brain this morning--I cannot think how to spell mirangue??? But it doesn't look right when I typed it. I'll go look it up. Ha. Ha.

  5. Hi Barbara,

Thank you for the kind words. How wonderful you have a 1915 farmhouse in VA. Do you have a blog where I can take a peek?

Tell me more about your house. Hope to hear back from you.
