A journal about life in Wisconsin, decorating, and restoring an 1893 Queen Anne Victorian built by Civil War veteran John Olson Wrolstad and his wife Mathea. Read on to see lots of old photographs, and read stories of the second owners Thomas and Maren Quien, and their children who filled the house with memories for 90 years.
Very First Photo I Took of the House Feb 18, 2007 - 30 minutes after we bought the house.
I also came over from RMS. I love that you are keeping the character of your home intact. I love old houses, and it is nice to see that other people do too. I just spent 30 minutes reading some of your older posts and love your style in the house. Great job
Hi Michelle. Hi Anne. Thanks for your kind words. I am outside today on the bucket truck painting the exterior. While I painted DH worked on building porch railings. Come by and visit our website again. We've finished 7 rooms and 6 more to go. Lots more photos to post in the future. Mrs. d
I ALSO came over from RMS. My husband and I are also renovating a 100 yr old farmhouse. Ours is located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in East TN. We are getting "geared up" to tackle our bathroom remodel which will include an old clawfoot tub, so I was happy to see the great job you did on yours! I will check out your other pics also. Please feel free to stop by our farmhouse for a visit. We love having company!
Your bathroom is amazing! I came over from RMS and I'm so glad I did. I'm off to check out the other pics of your home. Nice to meet you!
